Over the years, cereal manufacturers and other companies have included collector cards in packets to encourage buyers to continue to buy their product.
Additionally, early cigarette packet included cards featuring sportsmen and other images. This card was available in packets of Weeties, Crispies &/or Vita-brits and is dated to about 1954/55.
Card #9 of a series of 30, this card of Olivia De Havilland has the following information on the rear.
Real name Olivia De Havilland. Born Tokyo, Japan, July 1, 1916; height 5'3.25"; weight 112 pounds; eyes brown; hair brown. Motion picture debut in 1935 in "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Twice winner of coveted Motion Picture Academy Award for "To Each His Own" in 1946, and "The Heiress" in 1949. Reached peak of success as Melanie in "Gone With The Wind" in 1939. Devoting much of her time to the stage, Miss De Havilland will be seen in one of her rare screen appearances in the 20th Century-Fox CinemaScope release, "That Lady" - her first since "My Cousin Rachel" in 1952.
